NOTES FROM THE ROAD

For the past several years I’ve been traveling the country, meeting amazing people, working on fascinating campaigns, and seeing interesting things.  Unfortunately I haven’t given myself much of an opportunity to reflect on or to share what I’ve seen, experienced, and learned.  

This new project, “Notes From the Road,” is my shot at starting to reflect on what I’m seeing and learning.  

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m an activist, I’m a union campaigner, I’m an environmentalist, I’m an anarchist.  I wear a lot of different hats and play a lot of different roles at different times and sometimes I even confuse myself.  I imagine that I’m going to have a difficult time maintaining a consistent voice and a coherent analysis as I shift back and forth between reporting back on USW campaigns, anti-fracking work, and anarchist organizing.  

Because the idea of having an empty page seemed pretty daunting to me, I posted a small handful of articles I’ve written for other projects and published in other places.  Over the next several weeks and months I may throw out a few more of my old articles, but going forward I plan on posting less analytical and more reflective pieces, recounting and examining actions, events, and projects I’m working on.
